Starting with September 29, 2016, we've rolled out a new default template for the Avangate renewal notifications available to all our merchants. The redesigned template has automatically replaced the old default template and your subscribers are already seeing it in the notifications they're receiving as of today. At the same time, those of you with customized shopper emails have nothing to worry about, as all of your custom content and styling continue to be in place, unchanged.

Avangate sends out renewal notifications for subscriptions scheduled for renewal (either automatically or manually). Check them out in the Email template manager.

Optimizations include the revamping of the look and feel and a refresh of the content. We've focused on:

  • Updating design to incorporate best practices of transactional and marketing messaging.
  • Enhancing calls-to-action and increasing their visibility.
  • Restructuring customer information to highlight key details.
  • Updated all 33 languages supported translations

The Order details and Request refund pages now include tax/VAT information. This enables you to mark the net value for refunds and have the Avangate system calculate and add taxes/VAT.

Chargeback rate calculation optimization. This update brings the following changes:

  1. Includes only payment methods that support chargebacks in the total transactions. The payment methods included are: all cards, regardless if installment or no installment (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Amex, Discover, Diners, JCB, Fax, Carte Bleue, Alipay, Dankort, Elo Card, Hipercard) and PayPal Wallet.
  2. Includes also the partner invoices in the total transactions.
