Starting with August 31, 2016, we've rolled out four new Avangate email default templates available to all our merchants. The redesigned templates have automatically replaced the old default templates and your shoppers are already seeing them in the notifications they're receiving as of today. At the same time, those of you with customized shopper emails have nothing to worry about, as all of your custom content and styling continue to be in place, unchanged.

We've overhauled:

  • Shopper invoice: Avangate sends out this email to provide business customers with the invoice in PDF format.
  • Emails part of Lead management cart recovery, making it easy for customers to return to the ordering page and complete a purchase without having to go back through the purchase process.
    • Follow-up abandoned carts: If you are leveraging Avangate lead management tools our system automatically sends out the Follow-up abandoned carts emails to recover and convert the leads driving increased revenues.
    • Follow-up auto: Avangate performs dunning management for unfinished payments (declined) for auto recurring charge attempts.
    • Follow-up unfinished instant payment methods: Shoppers receive unfinished payment follow-up messages if they place orders but Avangate cannot successfully complete transactions and collect funds.

New metered (usage) billing enhancements:

  • More control when collecting customer usage data and syncing it with Avangate. For Past Due subscriptions, you can report usage data for both the past and the current billing cycle, as long as the billing interval has not past.
  • Metered resource synchronization decoupled from recurring or manual transaction processing. You have the option of choosing a custom setup that does not bind subscription renewal to the status of usage uploaded.
