Is a prepaid online and mobile payment method designed to streamline Internet transactions for users in Middle East and North Africa that do not have a bank account or credit card.

Specific to the EMEA region, with focus on the Middle East and Africa, CashU is available for countries like: Algeria, Bahrain, Cameroon, Cote D'Ivoire, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, UK, Oman, Qatar, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Mauritania.

The Dubai-based epayment company claims it doubled the amount of online transactions in 2011, handling over $96 million per year. CashU is the most widely used electronic payment provider in the Middle East and North Africa, with the exception of excluding credit cards, for online shopping.

Workflow

  1. When placing the order, shoppers can select CashU as payment option.
  2. To finalize the payment shoppers must click on the Finish order button, which will redirect them to the CashU site.
  3. Shoppers can complete the transaction by entering their cashU credentials, either the cashU account number or their Mobile Number (with the international code, but without 00 or +), as well as the password in the form displayed to them and then authorize the payment.
